Last wild lands. These three basic words are enough to convey the character of the most charming area in Sardinia: the Supramonte. Thousands of hectares distributed within rugged mountains and deep valleys that go down, until reaching a cobalt blue sea that bathes one of the most spectacular coast of Italy, the Gulf of Orosei; here vertiginous cliffs are interrupted by splendid beaches, perfectly set within rocks.
A ragged landscape that often leaves you breathless and it encloses in every corner secrets that give the sensitive visitor strong intensity emotions.
A magic meeting between sea and mountains, rock and water, colors and attars. Limestone and karstic, an element and a resulting effect.
The rock and the endless erosion of the atmospheric agents that dissolve it, by digging and working in each to the millimeter. This is the planet of the very long caves, deep canyons, water that as soon as comes down from the sky is immedialtely swallowed by the ground, by following its way along paths for some parts not known yet.
Dorgali, Oliena, Orgosolo, Baunei, Urzulei are towns in the Supramonte region, each of them with its ancient and rich traditions, the only places where human settlements could be developed.
A real paradise for climbers, walkers, speleologists and simple souls who are not indifferent to this nature, but touched, because this is a land that is easy to love but that can never be dominated.
